The Crusade Against Equine Colic is all about community and education. We want people to receive the information they need to educate themselves and others on equine colic so that it may be prevented in their barns.  Through creating conversation among horse lovers regarding research, prevention, and shared experiences, we can spread a wide-reaching message that saves equine lives, and helps you and other horse lovers to avoid the heartache, expense and challenges that colic represents.

We do this in three ways: providing educational content on our website, allowing people to share their own personal colic stories with each other, and through word of mouth.

Equine Colic Awareness Month kicks off in June and we want as many equestrians as possible to be ready for it. That’s where you come in.

Why Partner?

Colic is the #1 killer of horses, but what most people don’t know is that the majority of colic cases may be preventable.

That message alone needs to be spread loud and clear all around the country, in every horse barn, in every show ring, track or course. We as equestrians all have the same goal: To keep our horses happy and healthy. Let’s talk about how we can achieve that!

By partnering with the Crusade Against Equine Colic, you are helping equestrians save horses from having to go through deadly colic episodes. You are directing them to the information they need that could save their horse’s life. You are equipping them with ways to talk to their owners, trainers, friends and family about ways they could give a horse a better life. You are sharing your own stories, lessons, and tips for avoiding colic.

How to Partner

There are a few ways you can partner with us during this time:

  1. Show your support for crusading against equine colic on your website, blog, Facebook page, Twitter account, enewsletters, and other online properties. Feel free to share our information and download these Equine Colic Awareness Month Graphics (.zip) to help spread the word.
  2. Share tips and education – ours and/or yours – on how to avoid colic throughout the month of June. Helpful information includes personal colic stories, educational blog posts, and informational pages.
  3. Send us links to your own unique content about equine colic so we can share them on our website and social media channels.
  4. Direct people to the Crusade site, Facebook, Twitter, and email list so they can stay up to date on everything going on during Equine Colic Awareness Month.
  5. Encourage people to share their colic stories.

Whether you are an equestrian organization or avid equine blogger, we need your help in starting the conversation and building up this important community of people.

Contact us at info@coliccrusade.com if you would like more information on partnering with the Crusade.

The Crusade Against Equine Colic is a movement empowering all horse people to learn how to reduce our horses’ risk for colic – and to share that knowledge with fellow equestrians.
